Sale a Bration is Here!

I'm so excited! It's my favorite time of the year, Sale A Bration! This promotion runs from January 25, 2011 to March 31, 2011. It's after Christmas and it's still snowing. I'm already tired of the cold and snow. Stampin' Up! knows just how to get my mood elevated. They bring out a mini catalog with these special stamps and embellishments. This year they even have an awesome add-on for the My Digital Studio. Mine is on the way and then I'll really get to have some fun.

Sale a Bration is wonderful because I get all my supplies and get a free something to add on to my order. You get to choose 1 free product for every $50 you spend. I often spend $40-$60 at a time just getting my usual supplies. So adding a free item to that is really awesome! You can also choose 1 item for every $300 of workshop sales you have.

This year's selection includes:

  1. So Happy for you
This is a 10 stamp set in your choice of wood or clear mount. I chose wood for mine because there are 5 little images and small skinny sentiments. The images are: star, heart, flower, shamrock, and butterfly. The star and the butterfly also have trail lines. The sentiments are: so happy for you, birthday wishes, good luck, thanks and thinking of you. What a great set to add to your collection. You can get it in your choice of English, Spanish or French. Pick one or get them all.

  2. Punch Bunch
This is a set of 5 stamps. Also available in wood or clear mount. I got mine in clear because the images are larger and will stay on the blocks nicely. This whole set matches perfectly with one of our punches. There's an owl, a Happy Birthday scalloped square, a scallop circle with flowers, a Welcome Baby tag, and a True Friend circle. The punches that match are: Two-Step Owl, Scallop square, 1 3/4 inch scallop circle Large Tag, and the 1 inch circle. Punches can be found on pages 200-203 of the 2010-2011 Idea book and Catalog or on my website under Shop Now and tools. I've been having fun with this set and my daughter is making her Valentines' cards for her class with the owl. Punches are an awesome way to show off a stamp, pop it up, and cut it out without all that work. Just punch and go. Punch Bunch is also available in all 3 languages.

  3. Designer Series Paper & Quick Accents Pack
In this pack you get 9 sheets of 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper(DSP)in the Ice Cream Parlor collection. The colors in this pack are bright and vibrant. Just the thing to make you forget that it's still winter outside. The 5 colors are: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Old Olive and Pacific Point. You get 3 sheets each of 3 designs. They are double sided so you always have coordinating paper for your pages and projects. You also get 2 12 x 12 sheets of adhesive die-cuts to match. These are the greatest thing. I really love them because the adhesive is both temporary and permanent. Unlike any other scrap book sticker I've used, you can put these down and if you oops and it goes down crooked, in the wrong place, or you look down in 5 minutes and decide that you really didn't like that element in your project you can pick it up. You have 12 hours to move it. Normally you're just stuck with a sticker where it lands. You have to figure out a way to use it there or cover it up with something else. While that is a great way to change up your project you may not want to do it right then.

  4. Ribbon & Button Pack
This pack contains the perfect elements to add some fun to your projects. The colors are vibrant and coordinate well with the paper and quick accents pack. You get 1 spool of 1/4 inch white grosgrain printed with repeating flowers pattern. The colors used here are: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pacific Point. The spool will last quite a while as it has approx 15 yards. The buttons are flower shaped and come in 3 colors. Since you can buy Old Olive buttons already, these come in the other 3 colors. You get 48 flower buttons. 16 each of the 3 colors. Even if you were to get a real deal on these at a store you would probably pay $10-$12 for this collection and here it is, free with the stuff you were buying anyway.

  5. Digital Content CD
I mentioned this briefly earlier. You get a whole CD full of all of the images, colors, ribbon, buttons, paper, and even the Decor Element from the whole Sale A Bration catalog all in one place. Mine is on the way. All at my fingertips and on my computer. I can't wait. I will be making lots of things to share.

  6. Sweet Summer
This set has 9 images including a straight stem and leaves, curly stem and accents, flowers, a bird, a bee and a butterfly. I expect to see lots of birthday, thank you and thinking of you cards made with this set. It's also wonderful for scrapping your garden. romantic, and spring and summer pages. The small line images are perfect for those of you who like to color. You can use Aqua Painters, Blender Pens, colored pencils, Water Color Wonder crayons, or any of the other options we have available. Feel free to embellish your projects with the buttons, ribbon and/or paper from the other kits.

  7. Chalkboard Decor Elements- Notes
This is awesome. I'm so glad that Stampin' Up! is offering so many options for Sale A Bration this year. This is the first year that they have also offered a Decor Element piece as well as stamps and paper. This is a 8 x 16 inch panel. It says "notes" on the top and has a curlyque line under that. You can put this on a wall, a door, a locker, etc. I plan to put mine on a board so I can hang it where I want and move it around as needed. You write on it with chalk and, just like a chalkboard, you can wipe it off and start over.

  8. Bliss
This 5 piece stamp set is both modern and vintage. It has a butterfly that looks cut from a book because there's text on it, a flower, a bird, the word Bliss in fancy lettering, and a vintage accent piece. It's a great way to add great accents to any project. Simple yet elegant.

If none of those options excite you, you can still choose among stamps in the catalog. In the back of the Sale A Bration catalog is a selection of stamps valued at $14.95 or less. Just make sure to use the item number in the SAB book and not the one in the regular catalog. They are different.
