Fancy Folds and 3-D items: Birthday Ideas

Image
I signed up to do the Blog Hop for vc_rocks. It's all about using fancy folds and 3-D items. Here's a couple things I did recently. Be sure to click on  VC_Rocks blog  to see all the blogs with great ideas. This is the card closed. It's 4 inches by 4 inches all folded. This is the inside. The Happy Birthday stamp can be found in the Age Awareness stamp set #135381 It's a photopolymer set (clear and very sticky) $15.95. You can purchase it from  June's Stampin' Up! website   I call this card a box fold because it folds like you would close a box when you don't have tape. Be careful when tucking in the last corner. Since this card doesn't have open edges, it would be a great place to add confetti to surprise someone. Here's a cute candy box that you can add a gift to. It's the perfect size for some tootsie rolls, other small candies, chap-stick, lipstick, etc. I made it with the envelope punch board. I started with a piece ...

Home from Vacation

Had a fine time in North and South Carolina. Now I'm home and starting to stamp again :)   Here's some photos from our trip. I will post what I've been stamping tomorrow. Now, just enjoy what we saw on the trip :) We have a beautiful country. Love the mountains and the trees.  The first mountains we saw on the drive down. We started in Northwest Indiana and drove through Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina and to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.  Interesting to see the layers of stone. This was in Kentucky Atlantic Ocean- View from our hotel room at the Landmark Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. Palm trees in South Carolina. They are everywhere and very beautiful. Hollywood wax museum in Myrtle Beach. We didn't go in but had to stop to take pictures of King Kong :) Shoes belonging to members of our group. Best to not carry tons of sand around inside of them. My daughter having a good time in the ocean. She got swimmer's ear b...

In the gutter

Image
No, not what you first think. It's not my mind (or yours). What is it then? It's my ribbon. I bought a length of gutter, cut it down and attached it to the wall with brackets. Then I added end caps. I put some Tombow glue to secure them on and Viola! they're up and easy to use. I used to have a box but then I got too much ribbon. Stampin' Up! had some ribbon storage things but, as a demo, I was always taking the rolls out to show them to customers and snapping and un-snapping the case wasn't working for me. I do have some left though. I will sell them to anyone who wants them for a reasonable offer. Drop me a line and we'll talk. In the meantime, it's the end of the stampin' year and time is sunning out to buy your favorite things. Some things will carry over to the new catalog and some will not. I've gotten to see the new book and I will say that one of my favorites from the Occasions catalog will be returning and I'm excited. It's th...

Rose wreath

Image
I've really been neglecting my blog. Why? I got a Facebook business page and it's really easy to post something small on it and move on. The problem is....not everyone has facebook, people who have it don't respond to invites to Like my page and it's hard to do some things there. So I'm back here trying to make it work again. My facebook page is:  www.facebook.com/junescreations2 So, what have I been up to? I've been playing with the spiral die for the Big Shot. It makes the cutest flowers. I renewed my vows recently and made favors for everyone with a felt rose on top.  Then I taught a class on making a summery wreath. I used flowers from punches, paper roses made from the spiral die and more felt roses. This time I used multiple colors of felt and fleece. I will offer the class again in June. Spiral Die- Item # 129379 Looking forward to seeing you all again. Thanks for stopping by! June
