VC_Rocks Blog Hop- Any size card

Thanks for dropping by. I'm the 4th stop in the blog hop for VC Rocks 2012. The theme is Any size card.

As my regulars know, I love 3 x 3 cards. They're my favorite thing to tuck into a pocket, a lunch, into the envelope with the hostess pack, into a customer order, to use as a gift tag, etc. They are super simple to make. All you need is a stamp, ink, and some cardstock. Mostly I use 1 stamp set and a sentiment. I can write a short note on the inside or write it on a post-it so that it can be shared with another person or 2. I chose a new stamp set, Serene Silhouettes (page 75 of the new 2012-2013 catalog), to use on these cards.


Stamps: Serene Silhouettes, Tea Shoppe
Ink: Gumball Green, Primrose Petals (marker), Basic Black
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Whisper White
Embellishment: Brights brads

Stamps: Serene Silhouettes

Paper: Whisper White, Bashful Blue
Technique: Sponging

I love 3x3 also. My stamp group loves it when I do a "free style" camp and let them create oodles of 3x3 with my "stuff". I just got this stamp set on Thursday and haven't inked it up yet. Thanks for sharing!

Those are really pretty!! Brenda had me buying gum ball green card stock after seeing her cards. It's a super color! I also really like the idea of the 3x3 for quick cards. I'm somewhere between CAS and embellishment overload (closer to CAS) but that size really does prevent feeling the need to add just one more thing. So, thanks for the inspiration!
