Headed to Regionals

I'm so excited to be heading for my first Stampin' Up! event. I've changed what I'm wearing 3 or 4 times. My stampin' bag has been packed and unpacked too. I will be taking several swaps with me so we'll have a ton of new ideas when I return. Stamp club members look out. I'm taking 2 card fronts, 1 set of 3x3's (cased the idea from Sandy Hancock....thanks Sandy!), and 2 different altered paperclip designs.

Photo Corner Border- Tutorial

Image
I've had several people ask me about how to do the border with the photo corners so here goes. Start with the photo corner punch and a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock (figure 1) Starting at the bottom left corner, line the punch face up and punch the first piece. (figure 2) Line the side of the punch along the edge of the first punched piece. (figure 3) Continue punching, making sure to line up the punch along the edge of the previous punch until the whole side is punched. (figure 4) If you'd like a border strip, cut at 2.75 (figure 5) You can also add a contrasting accent. (figure 6)

Scrappin with Stampin' Up!

As a Stampin' Up! demo I often hear the phrase " I don't make cards". I didn't used to make them either. I make them now but that doesn't mean I've stopped scrapping. Quite the opposite. I take advantage of all the ways SU has made my scrappin experience better. All the colors match, blend and coordinate well. I will never again spend hours at the store looking for the perfect color to match whatever. Designer papers, cardstock, ribbons, even things such as brads and eyelets.....they all match....exactly...it's awesome! No more buying 3 sets of letters so that I have enough E's (or L's, S's, T's...etc). Yes, I have to admit, the initial payout is more but then I have those letters forever. 2 words- Simply Scrappin'. These kits are awesome. They come with matching heavy double-sided paper, textured cardstock, and repositionable stickers. There's enough to make 4-5 pages plus I always have some left to make some of those cards I m

Well loved purse

I make cakes and my friend just had her 40th birthday this weekend. So 2 of us got together and made her cake. I got to make the outside and she made the inside. It was a very good cake. I made the cake to look like a well loved Coach purse. It was a big hit. The kids all wanted to eat the rivets (gold dragees). My friend really liked it too.
